Ron,
so sorry to hear. - Jim

so sorry for your loss ron..... im not a horse lover but my wife is... she lost her horse 10 years ago in a barn fire.... she still gets teary eyed every time she thinks about it.... im a dog lover.... i know when ive had to put our dogs down in the past it really sucks ,but usually these choices are more less beyond our control....

I know how you feel Ron sorry to hear that , my wife Daria had a Appaloosa horse 15 hands high named Independence for many years that had to be put down , we enjoyed riding him on weekends . Jim

God I am so sorry Ron. Beautiful animals.

Sorry to here that Ron , i know how much these animals become part of our lives and when there gone it takes awhile to get over it . I had a husky i had to put down and he was my best friend . Again sorry about your horses, very pretty animals.

Ron, very sad, and I am very sorry to hear it was time for it to happen. They were beautiful. Some stiff drinks and sharing fond memories of them with some good friends who understand is the way I got through my loss of my dog last year. Helps to get it all out there and do a little of that, or at least it did for me in a big way. About a month after my dog died my neighbor's dog died of the same mysterious symptoms, and so then it was my turn to let my neighbor vent and share things of her dog while we drank some more of those same stiff drinks again.

Groundscanner....Sorry to hear about your Husky. My dog Sky was a Husky too like yours and got sick unexpectedly last spring and died later that night. I know how you feel, but rather than go into details, read the bottom line in my signature file below. Says it all for me...

I'm very sorry to hear of your sad news Ron, not horses for me,but I lost my dog last year, I think of her often.Happy memories.....

Very sad but good to know they had a great life as many don't. My horse Thunder is 19 and in good health. It will be a great loss and gap in my life when he goes. And I believe death is only a transition but still hard to accept. Best thing we can do is take good care of the ones still here and be thankful we were blessed with such wonderful friendship.

James,my horse Jake is 19 also and plan to get out and do some riding this year before more time slips away. This time last year we had eight horses with the boarder horses, now we have two my wife's 5 year old Oldenburg and my Quarter horse.Today it took me 22 minutes to clean the barn which included mucking, water, sawdust, hay, grain ,empty the manure spreader, and sweeping. Thanks Ron

Ron I just read the awful news and I'm really sorry. I love animals and know the feeling. Sorry my friend

I just heard, Ron and I am very sad for you to lose two of your buddies. Stay in touch.
