a friend and i are going to sebastian outlet and surrounding areas tomorrow for a couple days of relaxing(which means metal detecting) does any one have a suggestion on where to detect or where to stay cheap?

Several hotel and motels in the Sebastian / Vero Beach area. I'd start at the Disney Vero Beach resort beach and hit all the county parks southbound. Almost all are fee free parking.

As an after thought, You should look for property that is being cleared of brush and trees along highway A1A (beach road). There is always the chance you'll find some 1715 Spainish silver or gold that was looted from the ships by a few survivors. I often go onto these properties after the clearing begins and before they post the NO TRESPASSING signs. MY motto? Easier the ask for forgivness than permission!
