S&W S.W.A.T. First Millennium Run Knife

My understanding is that this model with the "S&W S.W.A.T. First Millennium Run" inscription on blade is no longer put out so it is now considered a collectible.
"First Millennium Run" is a designation S&W put on the S.W.A.T. line of knives just before Y2K. The second millennium of the common era was to end, and the third millennium of the era to begin on 1 January 2001, so in 1999, S&W put that designation on knives because of the common misconception that the 21st Century/Third Millennium would begin in 2000. It was to be the first run of the new millennium, rather than suggesting that Smith & Wesson was making these knives between 1 and 1000 A.D.

As I understand it, they're still making these knives (they're very good knives for the money!), they just don't have the "First Millennium Run" etched on the blades any more. The blade is 3 "and 5/8 inches long and handle is 4" and 3/4 long. This is considered the Med. size knife in this model made. I have not used this knife myself since I had gotten from a persons estate. It does show some blade issues see pictures for full condition. This is a nice hefty feeling well made strong knife. It has some nice reviews on You Tube. $25.00 shipped .
