I'm still hunting the old pond site in the woods of one of my parks. I went there yesterday after it had rained the night before. Kind of messy, the undergrowth was still wet, but I stuck it out for 2.5 hours. Near the end of the hunt got a good semi-deep signal (about 5 inches), which I was sure was an Indian head cent. I'm getting pretty good at calling Indian head cents. Dug it up and was surprised to find a 1900-S Barber dime. Wondered why the signal didn't sound like silver, checked the hole and found a small piece of foil. Other finds were a little clad and two wheats. This is my first silver coin with an S mintmark, probably because I'm not that far from Philadelphia. Lots more ground to cover at this site. I didn't think about posting until I had already put the dime in a 2x2.
