Does any one use these coils on F75
I would love some more coil options
I read one field test a year or two ago and that was it. HH Mike

I wouldn't mind trying one.......but my feeling is it would have to really be noticeably better than whats available to justify that high price.....

n/t

cercadom please keep us posted on your results.
What does it have over stock DD coil . Have you done side by side testing
What do you hunt for with it .
Were did you buy it
What about EMI interference Thanks Mike

I have some friends using the SEF coin on their minelabs, and one of the things they keep talking about is much better target ID on the very deep signals and also that it does dot seem to get the interference from power lines, etc. that the stock coils do. I would like that on my F-75s..(I have one as a back up.) The question was asked where to use it and I would say about any where, there are people in parks with the large WAT coils.
For me most of my hunting is in fields here in the winter time and also the large fields in England, I would also like to hear more reports on the SEF coil as I am interested, I would much rather have a 10 by 12 inch but it is my understanding that they do not make one for the F-75. The price I saw for the 12 by 15 inch SEF coil was I believe $306.00 plus postage, That was from a dealer in England, I don't know if any one sells them here in the states.
Looking forward to more reports on the coil................Lee

I called kellyco and they said that they would eventually get the sef for the f75. Unless things changed, i spoke to them a couple months ago.

Hello !

My hunting buddy has been using a SEF coil on his F75.

The depth is increased, but after a few months, the stem broke due to the weight.

Remember those stems are not designed to be used with those heavy coils.

He fixed it himself, but be aware this happens !

I use the 18x15 S.E.F on my se and my Newly aquired E-trac.Its the best coil i have .It deff locks on louder and clearer on tragets, esp deep ones.I find it is sens to EMI tho.I havent used it but once on the trac yet tho.I think youd be happy with one of these coils ,and they have alot of sizes.HH

I knew there were different size coils for the Minelab, but what I have been told you can only get the 12 by 15 for the Fisher F75, if any one hears or knows different. Please let me know... Thanks............Lee

not to mention someone posting that a shaft broke from the weight. Seems that Fisher would come out with something better, if Minelab can come up with the butterfly coil, why can't Fisher do the same? Thanks for the info, you just saved me some $$$$$$. HH

On the E-Trac the SEF is a fantastic coil. It hit hard on silver and was the best coil I tried for the E-Trac, and I tried pretty much everything there is out there for it.

Still wondering about the coil for the 75.

I agree with what he's saying, as far as the E-Trac, my results were the same.

I guess the question is would we see the same on the F-75. I'm not sure. Some headphones that are great on the 75 are just average on the E-Trac (to my ears) and vice-versa. Every machine is different so what works fantastic with a Minelab machine may not be worth it for a Fisher. Also the cost for the SEF on a Minelab is about half that price, which makes it a no-brainer if you have an E-Trac.

On the 75 I guess someone has to take a chance.

Yeah even the 12x10 that I had (on an E-Trac) was heavy. The E-Trac is not light anyway, and adding that means you are going to need breaks from your swinging, unlike our stock 75, unless you are built like the Terminator (I'm not so I needed breaks).

But if it performs the same way, I'd say the trade off would be worth it. Just get an extra lower rod for if/when it breaks so you don't have to interrupt your hunting.

I'm tempted to try it out. May have to get ahold of one.

I know guys that use that coil on their Etracs and they say it's an amazing coil, doesn't seem to be the case with the Fishers, not the same animal though...Minelabs are hard to beat. HH

I guess for me the biggest drawback on it is that with shipping, it's almost $400 to ship to the US. That kind of price tag really makes a person think hard about spending the money. I guess I would like to hear from people who have actually used it before plunking down the cash, or just wait until Kellyco sells it and order from them as it's bound to be more reasonably priced from them.
