S.E.F. 15X12 Coil & T2

Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on the SEF 15 X 12 coil on a T2? Does it make a depth difference for the money?

I would recommend the 12x10 instead I find it VERY effective particularly when search on a grass site. The 15x12 is effective on larger objects but looses the smaller coins.See my past finds on this forum an example is listed here A Celtic silver coin 12mm diameter. 1st century BC/1st Century A.D.

I have the 15X12 SEF coil and am not impressed with it. I haven't noticed an increase in depth over the stock coil. But then again if you don't find any deep targets is it because they were not detected or just not there. I found a CW button at 12 inches with the stock coil so it is deep in it's own right. The very big drawback to the SEF is the weight. I recently hunted with it for about three hours and my arm was sore for the next three days. I can hunt with the stock coil several hours a day every day with no soreness. When I first got the SEF I hunted an old church with the stock T2 coil and recovered 63 coins. I went back over the same area with the SEF and found three additional coins, all shallow. The only advantage I see with the large coil is ground coverage. You can cover a large area in a shorter time span.

The SAF 12x10 is quite balanced I do not have a problem with it.Its the best Ali round SEF to choose.I find tiny Roman coins at times on arable land 1cm diameter not at any depth of course.
