Rusty nails on edge sound like a good deep target, however...

the F-75 has significantly better ID depth in all metal than the T-2 so you can check out suspected nails in all metal and the ID OVER the target should give it away as it will usually in disc over the target. Also, in all metal, the sound should double hit or at least sound different than a round target in one direction, again giving it away. Nails that are deep and bent almost round or "closed" will usually sound good but the ID should still be much more erratic than a good deep round target. The 75 isn't your Daddy's Fisher... it IS the real deal!

If it is deep, I will turn 45-90 degrees and sweep again. Sometimes iron will sound good if you go sweep the lenght of it but ID/audio as iron with a sweep across it...Appreciate the info your adding here..keep it up...Thanks Richardntn
