I have been testing several Russian metal detectors the past month and a half.
I shot this one tonight ouside in the dark in my test garden. I found that using the backlight in the dark with the camera mounted to my detecting arm gave me the best example of the meter and hodogrpah display.
My ground is pretty rough for NOT being in Vorginia so I don't get as great of depth as some in more mild ground...although I am nowhere near some of that red Virginia stuff. In more moderate ground I would see at the least another inch or so in depth. Also in the woods here the soil is mild and we get quite a bit better responses.
Anyway, I am not saying this is going to beat or blow away any detector you currently own...then again I didn't say it wouldn't. I make no claims...I don't sell them...so I gain nothing from depth claims.
