Running the Explorer in 32 man sen conductive sounds

Has anyone else tried this for finding gold? thru the high tone falsing low tones stick out like sore thumbs was a bit curious if anyone found gold that registered in a higher tone on air tests you can hear a nickel very audibly from 10 inches, tried it on a beach i wasnt getting any signals on running 25 man sens which was stable all around but wasnt getting any signals switched to 32 man and hit a low mustve been atleast 10 -12 inches with the sand shifting when i switched to AUTO id lose the signal but in MAN i had it still you could hear the low thru the falsing and it was an old style pull tab so a normal sized target. Has anyone else tried this with success? it just seems low conductivity targets respond alot better with the sensitivity maxed i also used next to no iron mask only 2 notches above from a clean screen.

Its not worked out that away for me .... but my beaches may be different than yours. I found after 29 i tended to get NO more depth difference so having more noise only served to OVERPOWER the receive coil. VLF machines work differently than PI machines. Pi machines have a mono coil..... the coil send... shuts off and then receives. Where as a VLF both coils are on at the same time and there comes a point you can overpower the receive coil with EMI and exterial conditions. Now GAIN...... maxed out, will make all tones especially weak ones have the same volume. Everyone has something that may work..... I know a guy in England who hunts with varibility at 1... to me it echos. Others on a beach swear by LONG because sometimes you may only get a cherp.... Hope it helps you find some gold out there.

I didnt really test with 29 i just went straight to 32 was just bouncing between the MAN and AUTO setting and when id get a hit whether it was high or low in Auto but having trouble locating it since it wouldnt register after each coil pass just switching the sens to MAN would give a 100% repeatable signal. I also read how you run your IM at 30 ive been reading alot that small gold tends to fall into a 31-32 FER reading have gotten more targets to dig with 30 IM but expect more with ALL metal was curious though if the HALO effect from IRON still persists in ALL METAL?

I will on occasion run max sensitivity, firtyfwee, especially with a small coil. No doubt it's the deepest way to hunt, but also the NOISIEST way to hunt! :)

its a bit overwhelming with the 10x12 but its almost stable 40-50% of the time at max this was on st pete beaches, i only did it cause i was amazed i wasnt even finding trash. I saw someone use this technique to find roman coins since they would always sound off in a low amongst the high falses.

What you may find is .... Auto when air testing has a distinct cut off... im talking a fraction of an inch and its gone. Tested in MAN the detector continues to try and ID the target even if its beyond range it knows its metal. Ive never found gold in that range.... the reason i run my IM that low on the beach is faster recovery. Which helps with iron masking. There is a bleeding of metal or HALO especially with iron creating a larger target..... but the rust creates the issue with wrap around throwing it into the high conductor range. Ive not found IRON to be the issue out there as much as the salt setting.... gold is so close and those tiny targets get lost to a false signal. You just have to test those especially in the wet sand to see if you can get a repeat from another direction. Most dont..... they prefer to cover more beach and play the percentages.
