Got out for a few hours on Thursday at Jones Beach. Found a little area where there was about 25 coins. One of them was a Russian 2 ruble coin. Never saw one before. Worth all of 6 cents!! Tried to take a pic but its dirty. Any suggestion on cleaning coins?

Baking soda or Bar keepers friend with a little water and a micro fiber cloth. Once done use MINERAL OIL on it to bring it back to a natural color. Copper coins tend to turn purple if you dont use mineral oil. It preserves and protects the coin without damage. Vinegar, lemon juice, or anything with acid will continue to affect the coin unless you soak it afterwards in baking soda and water solution.
