rubber washers

Anyone know the size of the rubber washer for the lower shaft and coil? I have the SE. I would remove the coil, however it is a tight fight and didn't want to tear up the washer and find out Lowes didn't have one. Then I would have a flopping coil.

I wouldn't think you will tear it just by taking the bolt out and wiggling out the rod.
I don't have an SE, mine is the XS and the washers are about 13/16 but they are not standard washers as they have ears that go up into the lower rod, my carbon fiber washers are the same way.

Like Steve says they are not your reg washers and being they fit in the shaft more I have not seen a case where they will get tore up. Any Minelab dealer should have some in stock and they are not expensive at all if you want to have extras in case. If you want a set of them give me a personal message and will be glad to send you a pair as I have many of them here.

I received my SEF coil and it is a very tight fit, I have a very hard time getting it mounted.

Its tight ... but goes on and off without any problems. What you might do is get a lower rod with the nuts and washers as a back up that what i did. so now i have both an upper shaft from when i ordered the X1 and a lower... never know when you or a buddy might need one.

That is probably a good idea getting a lower shaft. I have an extra upper shaft. I use the Joey Coil, slim line and now the 12x10SEF coil.

Spit works. Dont WD40 it or anyother lube or no matter how tight you screw the bolt, it will move on you. Extra shafts for your other coils is a great idea, have them on all my coils and I use baby power to feed the sticky coiled wire into them.

Apparently, when I received my SE it might have been used or some parts were traded out. When I received it, it had a rubber washer on one side and the regular washer that it is suppose to be mounted, on the other side. The proper washers that Rick ND sent to me worked perfectly with my SEF coil. Funny how things work when you have the correct parts.
