I've been using the rubber bumper over the pinpoint button for quite a while. It works great in the cooler temperatures, but I kept having problems with it sliding around when it got hot.
I ended up supergluing it directly to the clear plastic of the screen cover. The problem is no longer. I cleaned all the sticky stuff off with isopropyl alcohol and glued it in place while the cover was off the machine using a spring clamp and a couple blocks of wood to keep it straight and flat.
If it ever fails, I'll be buying a new cover, but for now it sure beats putting on a new rubber dot every couple weeks when it's hot out.
Just wanted to share...
