I was wondering if anyone has a favorite rubber or water proof boot? I don't plan in going into the water any more then below knee deep.
I like rubber i think because i can just hose it off easily. I would like to stay under $50.00 or so........Thanks

Bluesky, Go to a Dive shop buy you some dive boots then go to Wal-Mart buy you a bathing suit and you will be all set. Happy huntting Ron Lord ,Naples ,FLA.

In the event you do get the waders, try to find ones without the steel shank, as this will interfere with the detector's signal. I have experienced this 1st hand with my pair. I have to swing way out away from the toes of the boots. They are nice in the shallows of a blustery day, when you just are not a player to get good and wet, savvy?

Yeah hip waders are great for shallow water.....they go up to the top off the leg not over your hips. Now if you ever get the urge to go deeper then chest waders will work, if you get the urge to go past the belly then wetsuit needs to be warn.....if you are like most folks....it sucks you in deeper and deeper.....till you feel the need for some scuba gear......its a vicious hobby. Hip waders at WalMart were $49.99......Chest waders at Dicks Sports were $99 on sale for $89......I haven;t got to wetsuit yet but I think its just cause I can't find a good fitting one due to Dunlap disease.....My Belly done lapped over!
