Rubber boot on the Racer trigger. When did that happen?

I remember when Makro was asking forum users for input, I asked if they would consider a rubber boot on the pinpoint and GB trigger. Well I just noticed on some RACER user videos that some Racer's have the trigger boot.
When did Makro introduce that? Also when I get a Racer I want to ensure that the version I am getting has the trigger boot and the improved coil ears. I assume that both these enhancements are on a revised edition of a Racer?

Thanks in advance

Don't know if a rubber boot is going to be any better I like it the way it is now

I got my first Racer in May and it has the trigger boot.

I think some of them came with it and it comes off. Mine had one and it just came off. I'm well into my third set of batteries, so somewhere in a good 100+ hours of usage the boot came off.

How to get that replaced?

First trigger boot I saw on a Racer was Feb. 2015 someone on a Forum in Ozzie land had made and fitted one as the Racer is often used successfully for Gold prospecting in some very dry and dusty locations.
Boot is still there a new pic show it was used on a Oz Gold field this month Sept.2015.
If links were permitted I would place one.

I asked makrodetectors.com by email and they said that there is no diffrence between the racer with rubber boot vs. without.
