Royal 800 & Blue Max 800 coils

[size=medium]Quantum 7.8 coil are all essentially the same. They are all interchangeable, all 8" coils, and all similar internal coil winding diameters.

The main differences are the way the inner windings are held in place as they worked with some different designs, and then there are coil colors (Burgundy, Dark Blue, Black and White) with different decals. Some of the coils have the thin cable and others have the more robust cable. Still, all will interchange.

I have heard that a ProScan coil has an advantage. Is that true?
 
[size=medium]standard on the Classic ID SL, because they were the thin-profile design, used the lighter-duty cable, and therefore were a little lighter weight than some, such as the Royal 800. Other than a weight issue, or a durability concern for those who prefer the heavy-duty coil cable, they all had about the same performance in the field.
