[/img] Went to the fairgrounds again same midway strip not disappointed at all except I put in 6 hours this time got plenty of older Jefferson nickles 1892 Indian was pushing 9 inches deep came in at 12.34 1889 Indian 6 inches deep 12.35 rest of coins average 5 to 6 inches deep finally found a silver Roosevelt this is only the third one I found here must be all gone anyhow most of the signals were not very true in #s but the screen said 40 to 43 which is nice to know. Also took the exp 2 out there with the 5 inch head as I though the screen was always empty could not lock on at all even going slow like a turtle this is truly tuff ground . All I used today like before is the 6 inch coil the stock coil would of found some but not all them and is a pain to pinpoint with so much stuff in the ground.Tried other programs but some of the signals would not come in good enough to have dug so back to ferrous coin combine which is what I always use.Anyhow 1916s and 1902 barber 1943p nickel 1935s 1940 and 1945 merc oldest wheat 1925 . So going to be a long work week have to wait for Saturday to go again.sube

Nice hunt Sube, sounds like there will be quite a few visits back to the midway. It sure is good to have an ace in the hole spot.

Nice! I have yet to find some older coins. I'm only one week into it though.

DigginVt this is the second year here with the ctx and I don't think I will finish it this year to much area. The nice thing about it is I don't have to look for a spot to hunt.sube

Excellent outing! Interesting that the CTX locked on where the Explorer 2 would not. Mark another one down for the CTX 3030! HH Randy
