Nice spill! I always detect in and around my coin finds. I did find coins nearby, recent dated coins in spills, but never the old stuff.
I still haven't pulled one coin from the ground with a foil target, using my ACE 250... I guess I'll eventually find one.

hey matt that is a great coin spill , shows me that buffalow nickles where still used when the roses where around , cool
 
i'm old enough to remember mercs, rosies, jeffersons and buffs as well as walkers and franklins in circulation when i was a kid. you have to realize that in 1965 we had a revolution in our coinage. Otherwise, coins hang around a long time. Pennies from the 1960's are not uncommon even now in our change, and that was up to 52 years ago.
