Rose Gold Anyone?

Flying Pig

New member
Found this in the water yesterday...I know the stones are imitation, however the setting looks old, and not "junkish". It looks suspiciously like copper, and I wondered if copper was commonly used for rings in the past. In googling it, I learned that "Rose Gold" was once common and is apparently making a comeback. Reportedly 75/25 Gold to copper.

I realize it is perhaps wishful thinking, but I am curious if anyone has run across rose gold before. This doesn't hit in the expectedVDI range for copper and in fact falls more like where gold would be.

Thoughts?

Thanks for looking.

Flying a detailed setting like that for a stone is rarely a fake stone just to much work involved and it does resemble rose gold i have found a few of those but not that old which brings up if that ring is very old back then no one used CZ stones yet might be glass ? have it checked , are there any marking,s inside the band ?
