Rookie Year

BEAR CLAN

New member
Hello to all! New to forum, been hunting since April, bought a G2 from Big Boy's Hobbies, what a hound dog hunting machine!! Found about 3200 clad this year, the usuall ratio's. Also did good on rings, found 44 total, 1 gold, most of the other ones silver. Coins pictured are one 1901 Barber, 4 Merc's, 4 Rosies, one 1900 V nickel, 1902 and 1910 quarters, and the half is a 1920. The 30-30 round at top is about one hundred years old also, has the peculiar primer in it. Hunted mainly parks here in New Mexico, summer fires hindered me from some "good" spots. Merry Christmas to all!

Nice collection for the year.
I am still hunting for this year and will post a similar photo soon. I see your 1 up on gold rings on me hahah. I am still looking for the gold ring.
Congratulations!

Looks great to me. I can't even remember my rookie year, but I am sure I didn't get off to that kind of start. Make sure you keep some record of your finds. A yearly photo is a great idea with notes of the high points. The closest I came was a photo of my trusty detector with all of its finds when I got a new one. It is fun to look back, especially after a lot of years have passed. Hope you have many more great years hunting.
