rons 180 meter any good??

never used one but have dealt with Ron and he is a quality guy so your probably not taking much of a chance buying one.

don't you need to solder some wires, or did I read that wrong in a Ebay description

I just bought one of his new ones off E-Bay and dont have it yet, but from what I seen of it the new style you dont need to do any soldering or adding a jack to the control box. We will see when i get it here, but Ron seem to always find a way to impove it.

I usually learn from my mistake and correct problems. This meter comes with a short extension so no soldering or drilling ready to fly.The first with a 1/8 inch audio plug and jacks with a 6 ft cord for a power plug great for hip mounting.Too cold to paint bear metal with a couple of ML emblems.Later Ron

Nice work done by Ron on this meter and would like to get a extra short cord for the meter to plug into as it is a great idea the set up he makes. My only problem is the good numbers read a - number as the 2 wire got turned around when he made the short cable, but it sees to work just fine with no problem as the 180 numbers work right on plus all the other numbers for the zinc and older wheaties and IH read the 177 and my nickles read 144 like they should. I feel this meter is worth more than Ron has been selling them for as it looks like a lot of time involved and the cables and the ends that are used takes time to build.

Thanks Ron for a great meter at a great price.

Just installed mine this morning. I was amazed how well it works! Even on my first Sov I didn't have a meter, I just couldn't justify it, but I happened to receive this meter with my new Sov as part of the trade, so I took a chance. I love it! Extremely easy to install and use. Thanks Ron! Great product!
