Rollin block

One of my last outings. A rollin block in very bad condition. I think it may be a rollin block manufactured in Eibar (Spain) in 1868
When I get home I will post some more photos.

A couple more photos. If I clean it too much, it falls apart

Those old Rolling Block rifles are fun to experience. Finding one would be awesome!!!

Someone hid it and after burying it, put some big stones on top.
I had seen some isolated trees on Google maps that gave me a good impression. I marked coordinates on my GPS and went there in the middle of the thicket.
I was not wrong ;)

I am almost positive that is a Break action. A Rolling Block is a distinctly different design. Is it a rifled barrel or open bore of a shotgun?

You are right. It's a shotgun, probably 12 gauge.
When I got home, I took a better look at it, removed the dirt from the inside of the canyon and was able to measure it.
I was carried away by emotion ... :cry2: and "I saw what it was not"

:clapping::clapping::clapping:

In the end, I think I have it.
Manufacturer: Victor Sarasqueta. I have no further information.
