Don't normally use the SE on the rocks as it is quite hard on the detector coil and is not waterproof.
Warm sunny still day so I thought I would give it a go. First find after about 30 seconds, fishing weights, the dead fishing weight gods were at it again. If some of you read other forums they will know that I find thousands of the things. Over the next 3 hours lots more weights including a 5 kg lead ingot which made it hard to keep my balance as I had to put it in my back pack, plus quite a few coins including a worn heavy coin which must have been a George III cartwheel penny of about 1800 because of the very thick rim.
So I shall now put silicone in the shaft and give it another go soon.
