Rockport Beach gives up one gold ring

Jaime and I headed down to Rockport Beach yesterday for a few hours of hunting. The beach is beautiful and very nicely kept, the grounds people do an excellent job of keeping the beach clean. We found the ususal clad and junk jewelry but after a couple of hours I found this silver toe ring in the dry sand and the gold/diamond ring in about 2' of water, lots of jellyfish in the water, did get hit a couple of times. We'll have to make another trip down there when it's not so crowded. I had my wife put the rings on her finger, wouldn't fit on mine. We wanted to go down to Corpus but it got too late for us. I wanted to give Willie down a Corpus a call but I didn't have his phone number on my cell. The gold ring has the intials DJ and has signs of been re-sized. There was another hunter in the water about 100 yards from the beach but after a while we didn't see him anymore, he must of left, don't know what he found. Thanks for looking. John

Nice finds! Understand about the Jellies...I was there last week and got nailed quite a few times....finally just had enough and got out....lots of clad. Talked to a couple buddies...they said the beaches in corpus are worse...nobody in the water because of the jellies...too bad. Hit SPI this past weekend....lots of clad, 1 gold earring and 2 nice silver rings.

Surfside beach also has alot of Jellies, we might have to start wearing pants into the water. SPI is nice to hunt, the water is alot clearer. Good luck Keith. John

nice ring, pants especially at north beach is pretty much my mo, along with keeping vinegar and tape in my truck. Sorry little suckers!

I love SPI also, except when Kieth and my brother comes down..........lol they give me bad mojo!

Nice ring. :clapping:

Dawn, I resemble that remark. :surprised:
