rock hard ground

Me and Hank tryed to do a new spot but the part of the field that had a 1700's house saw planted and the ground was rock hard and with ended up doing the back 40 which was hayed and not frozen yet was slow.Hank got a nice bell and a wizzer [or a large copper made into a button].I got a copper and large button.

Was in a civil war area, ended up woith a 1907 indian head penny and about 50 shot gun brass. I'll have to hunt it a bit harder to see if I can snag a bullet out of there. It's a little bit away from where I know for sure they were at but it might hold a relic or 2. It sure was pretty on that ridge detecting in the snow. Pretty over grown area though, should be interesting to see what is there. Good luck with your place, hope you find a bunch.
 
When I was D#@ young, The guys in the next camp had a thermometer break---it only went to 10 below so we don't know how cold it really was but I know it was the Coldest night i ever spent out doors---But I know it It was sure fun---We got 2 Elk that trip---We went home the next day because it snowed Everywhere even here where I live---The hunters who stayed had to hire Large cats to get there rigs out--The year was close to 1956
