Road trip with the DeLeon delivers a mountain of coins and ring # 17 for the year

Had the day off today so I took advantage of it and went to hunt a beach at a local lake and a football field at a near by town. Made a early start of it got out to the lake around 7:00 am got my first ring in my scoop to bad it was junk. I was using the stock coil for the most part I did switch to the cleansweep for a while, I was able to find a few coins but not much. I moved to another beach at the lake with the same results. I decided to try something else as I was deciding to do I met up with the rangers and asked if I could hunt around the camp sites that were closed and they said sure just cover my holes. I hunted the camps for a while and was able to dig up more clad but not much else. Around noon I headed for the football field it is usually packed full of coins I hunt here once or twice a year and usually leave with my pocket full. I have only found 1 ring at this field so I was hoping the cleansweep would deliver any rings I had missed in the past. I started at the south goal post and on my very first pass I got a good signal I looked down and there sitting in the grass was a men's gold ring! How sweet is that I thought hope there's more where that came from but no such luck I did find a couple of junk pendants as usual there was plenty of clad to be found I was the kids that live in this town must not like quarters I was digging them 2 and 3 at a time. About 3:00pm my pocket was getting full so I decided to go finish the campground I hunt in the morning I was hoping near the tent areas I would find rings and stuff but was only able to find more clad. It was now 4:45 and I figured I had a full day in so I packed it in and headed for home with a ring a pocketful of change and a smile on my face. Anyway here's the booty from todays adventure.
125 pennies
10 nickels
25 dimes
31 quarters
3 pieces junk jewelry
1 mens 10k gold ring w/three small diamonds

Nice finds phinbolt and great pictures, be glad your knees hold up after all those digs, my knees ain't that good.

Congrats on ring #17. You are death on them rings with the Deleon. Not to mention that mountain of clad you found. If I ever am on a road trip and stop off and find nothing when I am detecting. I will know I have stumbled upon the place where one of 3 dectorists live phinbolt, Mike (53 silver), or Tabman. Love hearing about what you guys find, but glad I don't live close to you guys. Means I can still find something in the ground when time allows. Lol. HH

Wow that's a nice day of finds! Way to go on the gold ring.

Is that 17 gold rings for the year, or any rings? That is very good any which way you look at it, you must be fit to dig all that, congratulations.

Congrats on the awesome haul! Just reading how much clad you dug makes me tired! Sweet work on the gold ring! Beale.
