RNB test on the Excalibur.

Hello.

Just wanted to report my results with the RNB battery on my Excal.

I put about 27.5 hours of actual use on the battery, then when it got too cold to get in the river, I started parking it out in the yard with it on, just letting it run, with volume and threshold audio set on high. I'd let it run for anywhere from 3-5 hours at a time and kept adding it up.

So far, it's at 56.5 hrs and still running.

So, I don't know exactly how long it WOULD operate, and want to emphasize that the last 29 hrs or so of operation was with audio and threshold running pretty high.

Hope this helps;

Greg

I run mine at or near flat out on the field (beach) all the time. I just keep losing track of the hours, chickening out and recharging. If charge time and run time were only HALF what they are... it would still be so worth the added cost. While it does not seem to improve the depth/strength of the Excal like it does with my TDI sl, it just vastly improves run time. I am VERY HAPPY with all 3 my dedicated LI systems. And this is without addressing the issue of the piles of dead alkies (batteries, of course) in the garage :yikes:.

My Xcal came with two rechargeable batteries so I rotate them. I hope it will be quite a while before I have to put new batteries in the Pod but those RNB batteries look like the ticket.

Thanks for the Update.

I just got mine yesterday. Came with no paper work what so ever. Find that a little odd. I put mine in an old rechargeable pod I had. Barely fit. Real tight. It must have been precharged because it went green real quick. Haven't used it yet and am looking forward to trying it out.

I do plan on taking it out this weekend. Looks like we're gonna warm up some this weekend. I really need to get out. Hopefully all this wind we've had will have moved some stuff around.
