I just ordered the new 3100 for my Etrac run time seems incredible!
My question is how long should it last without using headphones?
And what's the best way to charge totally run it down? Then charge?

How long a battery in a detector lasts depends largely on your settings. Backlight being used? If you have an open screen and the detector is talking all the time it's driving a speaker,whether the machine or phones. Volume will matter a bit. All in all, you won't have to even consider it with the 3100. As sprchng said....plug it in. Green means GO! It will melt your mind with the run time,compared to a stock battery.

That's one great battery!-----Just put it on charge at any time--you don't have to run it down first--it has no memory effect.------You won't have to charge it very often--that thing lasts "forever"!-----Your description of it "incredible" is an accurate one.----Another accurate description--"it's the best thing since sliced bread"!

I charged mine three months ago. I may have 20 hrs on it. Still showing full charge.

Look at the OLD POSTS regarding the RNB battery when it first came out !!!!! The same holds true today ........" It is the single best investment you can make for your E-Trac" Amazing battery !!!

Thanks I hunt without headphones mostly unless near roads or noisy areas..
Its crazy how long it holds a charge! No I just have to put down the Deus which has crazy battery life to!
