River is low -- should i hunt it ?

I live by the rum river in isanti county minnesota its so low you can walk accross it ,the part that is behind my house was the only spot that could be crossed back in the 1800s thear is a gravle bed, or is the only gravle bed in the earea and thear is whear the stage coaches crossed and the old road is thear to i was thinking of searching the bottom of the river do any of you duds think it may be a good spot ? also right accros the river is a campgound for canoist boaters and it has no accses exept by river would that be a good spot ?

Look at it this way, you don't have anything to loose but your time. Sounds like it might be a great spot to detect. I wouldn't go alone. You never know about the bottom current. Or those slippery rocks.

If you do go, make sure you don't raise your coil up in the air after it's been in the water. The water will run into the control panel and that's NOT a good thing. I would suggest using an underwater detector to be on the safe side.

Good luck and let us know the outcome.

Start with the campground, then work your gravel bed then the rest of the river. Good luck

Are you crazy? Of course! Sorry I have been drinking a bit. Wish I was there to help.
