River hunt with 60 coins and 1 small gold.

Went to the river today to cool off, 94 degrees and killer humidity, a typical August day in Fl. When I got there the park Ranger told me 2 other people had been hunting the past couple of days that I may not want to pay to get in today. I told him I didn't mind sharing if they didn't, they can't get it all. I soon found out they left plenty for me and the Excal. 4 1/2 hrs. of fun. Found 60 coins and small Gold 10K ,1 gram. Got a Nitro earring, really looked good in the scoop with the sunlight hitting it, but junk. HH

THANKS FOR LOOKING HH.

Gold, however small, is still gold and makes a great day. Nice finds, PaPa. I always enjoy your pics.

Good hunt there PPJ...like the sunkist...and the Gold!

Looks like a great place to hunt. our rivers up here in Washington look nothing like that! Huge boulders, cobbles, gravel and some sand. It is a fight with a scoop most of the time!

Best regards,
Steve

I like the design of that pretty little dolphin ring ... being gold is a plus! Congrats.

Yesssssss papa-joe, Night hunting with a leed light, make all the junk look like diamond and all the aluminium and S steel look like platinium.

Good find there:thumbup:

Was at one of the state park springs a few weeks back and was wondering how much gold was in there.... Is it allowed in the state parks? Ill bring my detector my next go around :)

No matter what people tell me, like yourself I'll give it a try anyway. No beach or lake is ever cleaned. As always, great job!!:clapping:

WTG...Nice haul!

The only State parks you can hunt in Fl. are on the coast, you can't hunt the Inland parks wheather it be river or lakes.
