i sent for a quick hunt in the Rum river , its very low duto no rain and a gravle barr is exposed this is whear the old stage crossed the river . I went to the north part along the bank and got one stone that had a vdi up in the 80s so i saved that . some other stones whear overloading it they im shure wher iron but i got another good signal in the side of the bank and keept digging down it got stronger got down 12" and on the gravle bed was a cast iron stove door and nearby other parts but its not trashy at all i only hunted a small part the heat was opresive 90 f and 72 dew point i started getting faint and i was taking it easy have to go back when weather improves may be something thear lots to search yet the Rum river originates at milacs lake and flows down to the missisippi and was used to run logs down to fort snelling in the 1820s numourous camps have been built and forgoten along this river Gunnar
