How about a picture of the reverse ? If it's a 1916-D I hope you did'nt clean it. :blink:
 
Joe, assuming the d is a mintmark and not the start of the word dime, you hit the big key.

It's kind of a blurry picture, hopefully you didn't clean it with anything more than soap and water. If the coin has been abrasively cleaned (like with a silver polish) then it will lose the majority of its value.

Even in what is considered fair condition (and fair in coin grading stands for really, really worn like your dime is) a 1916-d dime is worth a few hundred dollars.

If you ever want to sell it you should have it slabbed by PCGS or NGC for authenticity. Because there are a lot of fakes out there, most buyers won't buy a raw 1916-d.
