RINGS

:?:

Hello everyone, I have a question for all you folks who seem to always find the great rings. Where are most rings found, in the dry sand, in between the high and low tide lines, or in the actual water. I wanted to see what everyones stories are here.

It seems that all of my gold comes from waist to chest deep water. Of course I really don't spend that much time in the shallow stuff but I understand that people do well there as well. Only one silver ring in the towel line in all of my years of detecting, again, I really don't hunt there that often but when I do it seems that I dig far more trash than anything else. That's why I like deep water. Generally less trash and more likely that a good sounding target is gonna be that special one.

I agree with you therick, I love deep water, there is some junk out there but most of the crap seems to be closer to the water's edge. Plus most people hunt shallow, afraid of the sharks I guess!

I agree with VaBeachRon. Most all of the rings I have found were knee deep or less in the water or along the splash line.
