Rings and Things

This is an assortment of rings and things found using IM-16 or nonferrous only or everything rejected except for silver and clad coins.
I will not bother with individual settings and details as this is just show and tell for those users that may be new to the hobby and are wondering what can be found.
The key to finding rings and jewelry is to keep discrimination very low and use no more than necessary in my opinion.

Hi Cody, Thank you for all the posts. You seem to be a wealth of information. I like to dig in and learn as much as I can so I don't usually skip the longer threads. I'm new to the EXll and will be working it soon after Christmas at the beach if the weather here in the Northeast holds out <img src="/metal/html/shrug.gif" border=0 width=37 height=15 alt=":shrug">

Andy says similar in his book also. I hear using least amount of discrimination is the best way to pick the jewlery out. I'm looking forward to getting started soon.

There are three different "programs" involved with these rings.
#1 IM-16
#2 Nonferrous
#3 Silver and Clad Only
I then will combine these three basic methods and adjust the IM setting. Some of the rings were found with each of the above. With sivler and clad only you detect silver rings but not gold ones. These are also only three of the programs, if that is a name for it, that I use. There are two modes of detection that are not dependent on the other. Iron Mask and discrimination. Although we can set patterns to duplicate and Iron Mask setting that is not the same as being in Iron Mask.
Does this answer your question are have I not understood the question?
