Havenot done much beach hunting, but plan on being in east coast from South Carolina down to middle of Fla this winter..Would someone post what readings are most common on rings and jewerIy
I usually hunt in all metal mode with the least amount of sensitivity I can get away with..Here in Mo we dont have many ocean beaches.......I found a 1923 dime yesterday..Solid 37..But I get fooled with those pennys(Lots of 37 readings on them too)....Glad the site is back up,I missed reading everyones posts...Bud

Hi

According to my experience, gold rings can fall anywhere on the conductivity scale, except...under silver !!

I found heavy 18K gold rings reading Zn 1c on my BH Lonestar, and recently a thin 18K one reading +7 on the quattro.

The trick is to dig ALL TARGETS in areas where you expect (or want) to find rings, and especially on the wet sand.

HH

Nick.
