Ring Thing?

Went back to the sand tot-lot today. I put the stock coil back on to see if I could find more silver a little deeper. No silver, but I did dig some deep iffy signals. Ended up finding a clad quarter that was several inches down next to some iron.....also a 1974 memorial cent. My oldest coin today was a 1947 Jefferson nickle....at only about 5 inches down. I also found this at 6-7 inches. Almost looks like a small napkin ring....about pinky size. It has a mark on the inside that looks like an elongated number 8. Sorry about the pic quality, but the macro setting on my camera doesn't seem to be working too well anymore.

Here is a little better picture of it. This pic makes it look like there is a seperation in the metal, but there isn't.

Nice ring congrats! I do know that the lazy 8 means Infinity. Maybe a ring given in hopes of an infinate love?
Here is a link to a good description, Beale.
