Ring Man Found The Assorted Goods PLUS A RING!

Went to my favorite school yard down the road and found a bunch of change as usual but also this ring. It says "Pat Pending" and has what looks like initials for someone on the inside. My neighbor thinks it may come have come from a carnaval or the like where a machine stamps your name inside? It's silver for sure but no marking.
