On the face is BIOLAGIA over U.N.S.L. on the side with the years is small print I can't make out for sure but <STRONG>MIGHT BE</STRONG>:

Just guessing at some letters. Might be spanish or latin? Thanks Dave
 
Evidently a class ring for a biological science student at a National Superior School (college or university),as indicated by the abbreviation (<EM>E.N.S.</EM>)-- in Spanish, <EM>Escuela Nacional Superior </EM>; in French, <EM>Ecole Normale Supérieure</EM> The final letter could represent either the field of academics or the city/state in which the college is located.
