Ring and a half

I haven't been out for awhile but yesterday I was able to take my MXT with my killer 6" DD Excelerator coil and hit a couple of tot lots and a park. After a couple of hours I gave up but did score a nice silver .925 ring with 5 czs. Also found a junk ring that had been hit with a lawn mower. Even though it was a junk it would have been a nice ring. I found a few other odds and ends and a little clad along with lots of pennies. It was nice just to be able to get out and do some detecting. Thanks for looking. HH Dennis in Idaho

Great job Dennis,I sure do like finding jewelry, went prospecting last week in S. California found two nuggets and a old silver dollar in such bad shape I can't even read the date but I still had a good time. I'll try to post some pictures.

Hey Hillbilly Bob, what area in S. California do you like to detect for gold? I can't wait to see the photo of your gold nuggets. It is always great to find silver dollars. In 35 years of detecting I have only found 2 and I just found them last year. HH Dennis in Idaho

Dennis, I like to hunt around the San Gabriel Mountains east of L.A. I found the nuggets and the old silver dollar by the ruins of a old mining site also found the head of a old rock pick and a old pocket knife.

Way to go Dennis!!! I'm happy to see you getting back into the swing of things! :) You and your rings! What's your secret? Not a bad display there!

We were camping and detecting over the weekend and didn't find near that much clad. :twodetecting: Yes, the whole weekend! Only one old coin was in my pouch on the way home. 1957 Wheat cents.....and not all that old. We had a great time, and that's what counts!

Thanks for sharing & glad you're enjoying the hobby again, HH to all, Nancy
