This may not be the right place to post this, but can anyone tell me if a Pioneer 505 that

"comes with standard coil and and small coil for finding nuggets also includes a pouch and plastic shovel"

110 shipped with a return policy sound like a good deal?

Thanks in advance,
Brian

110.00 for the machine is a great deal (assuming that nothing is wrong with it of course). I've got a 505, and I think it's a great machine. Take the time to learn it's sounds and you will love it!

Welcome buckhog, I've read some very good reviews on the 505 and the prices I found range from 198 to 299. The only thing I see you up grading is the plastic shovel. Good luck, and look forward to your future posts/finds.....

BUY IT !! The CHEAPEST I have seen is "Scratch & Dent" at $199.99 without the 4" coil.. I just bought one..... The TONES are the key as said above.. Get a decent set of volume adj earphones that cover your ears & listen while checking the display.. You will likely find (as I did) yo will use display less & less. Good strong solid repeatable tones will stand out & read well. Changing pitch usually means junk. AutoNotch will block out almost all pull tabs & give you good results, but DISC will give a bit more depth. Also watch the DVD..!!!! It will help you understand & set the Notch & Disc modes .. DOC
BTW; I go into more 505 detail in 4" coil post
