I have never used the Seasearch coil myself, but was told it is a waterproof Coinsearch coil. Now if this is the case the Seasearch will be heavier than the stock coil will be as it is weighted for water hunting as it is coil that was used for the Excalibur's. If like the Coinsearch then the signals way be better to hear as it seems like the hot band was bigger so the signals were easier to hear over the stock coil. I know you will find most that have used a Coinsearch coil and upgrade will look for another Coinsearch to use.
Like I say if the difference between the coinsearch and the Seasearch is just one is water proof and a bit more heavy as it is weighted to use in the water to help it from floating.
I feel for those learning the Sovereign the Coinsearch is the best one to learn on.

The seasearch coil is a DD that is weighted to keep it from floating and flipping up while water hunting. They are really hard to find now.
Most are changing over to the Tornado coil due to the slim design when it has to be replaced.

As far as comparing....It is the same as the land coils for the Sovereign line in depth.
