hunted a colonial site that i went to earlier this year to and got these goodies, out of a corn field that was once a 18th century house there and woked it maybe an hour the rg 1000 was slicing through alot of iron but do get the occasional aluminum cap that messes with you which is not a big deal there is one thing you don't do with this is dig nails almost all is elimnated and can really here the difference of big iron and my cheap ol calrads work better than my jolly rogers did so anyways here are the finds:surprised:

i'm sorry about that, that was dumb of me wasn't it? the large cent is a small date 1837 and the buttons say orange country ex rich? and the other piece i think could be part of a silver plated buckle?

That Maker is unknown to me but I will find it ok. They are stilll nice pieces. I believe made arund 1820's. The One PPiece Buttons went out of use around 1820 - 1830. They were made by many private Companies. The most notables are the Scovilles, Waterbury and a few others. Many were made in the State where theywere fiund and could thus be a Special issued button. I'll find out ok. The guys here love buttons ok. Thanks. PEACE:RONB

Also Not sure about that Silver buckle piec. It may be a strap holder of some type ok.
