Reverse english on the Compadre

Got this nice park that gets pounded by [ I got more Tec on my machine than you do club ! ] Well something of theirs works cause all they left was a few coroded pennies and Alum slaw and of course pulltabs. After a hr. & a half of digging trash, time was running out. So I put the Compadre on just below pulltab and started working the fence around the basketball court. Well those big coils must not like this area cause I started picking up Clad right away. After hunting out a section went back to the foil mode and checked it out just in case. [No gold] On the way back to the truck, back on just below pulltab. I dragged the coil along the sidewalk & picked up a little more clad. $3.30 for the day but believe me thats a ton for this park. Had some fun anyways.

For hunting around fence poles, tot lot metal, bench legs and everything else like this there is no better machine.
You can always get a double beep if a target is near, next to or even leaning on big metal if you swing at just the right speed.
All Compadres can do this, from the 3.75 coil to the 7" coil and even the new 8" coil model.
My F2 can't do this, my Vaq can't do this, even if I have sniper coils mounted.

I visit many parks where the tot lots are wiped clean but I always find coins next to the big metal because others can't get close to them like I can using my Compadre.

Not only have I found lots of clad and junk jewelry near these things, I found a Loony that was about 1 inch away and about 4" deep next to a huge piece of metal one time.
I expect to find silver or gold one day.

I call my padre my $160 special.
It is my secret weapon. When I am in a tot I always check other peoples holes (yes holes) and scratchings. I find a lot of jewelry and coins that way.
Most people who get a new detector always hit a tot first because they think it's easy.
But these people leave a lot because
1) they don't know their detector,
2) they don't know how to pin point and retrieve.
3) They don't have the right detector for the job.
Same holds true anywhere you hunt.
Just because it's there, doesn't mean you are going to find it or, for that matter, that someone else has. Having a fancy detector doesn't mean you are going to find the good stuff if you don't know how to use it.
Practice and knowing your detector is what turns a bad hunt into a good hunt.

You have to love a compad, Some times simple is better. Just like the guys that md beaches, they rely on there vlf machines to tell them whats there. That's why i follow them with a sand shark and get what they miss.

thats what I have been saying , the compadre is king when getting close to fences & metal poles and sidewalks I know I had a compadre and i have found no machine since that does as good no machine, thats why I say use it whear it is strong and you will kick the but out of all the big name machines,

On parks that are constantly searched weekly, I sometimes vascillate between "r" in "iron" to just between iron and foil-especially when time is limited. The Compadre STILL kills the nickels the others miss. You just had one of my "lazy day" hunts. I set it to where the tabs break up slightly and go for the clad. At this setting, the zinc range rings will still hit.

I think that most of us know how good the padre really is. I own three of them. One for me . One for my wife, if she ever gets out. And one in the Philippines.. You just really love them... KEN

They are like a grateful mutt that you rescue from the pound.
You love them, they love you back.
Win-Win.
