Returned to old park I found last spring

Went to the what I think was an old park this week to see if I would be able to hunt it. To my surprise some areas I was able to swing my detector.

On Wednesday a short hunt produced 3 wheat pennies 1918,26,30 along with a 1916 merc.

Thursday another short hunt produced a 1941 merc and a 1918 wheat.

So the totals since I found this area last spring are as follows,

29 silver coins

2 Indian heads

2 v nickels

8 Buffalo nickels

7 nickels from the 30's and 40's

69 wheat pennies 1909-the 50's

that is 117 dug coins without finding any clad...

There are areas I won't be able to hunt again until mother nature sends us a good frost but I can wait on that so no hurry.

AND NO CLAD. I think we all must have died and gone to heaven.

At the end of the year, you need to do a photo of all the coins from THE OLD PARK and let us have a look.

Hey Rich,

Thats funny you said that I am taking pictures of this site for just that reason!

Wow ... that's a killer site !

I found a site like that a few years ago - hunted with different coils, programs and covered the ground from three different directions.
I kept going back till I left with nothing (a few times) - but it was well worth the effort - I dug over 150 old coins and a several pieces of jewelry.

Good Luck !
