Returned F75

Got it back today, tried it in the backyard for a while, seems to be OK.
Replaced circuit board & replaced battery springs that should have been
done when it went back for upgrade. But now it came back without the
rubber gasket around the control box. I'm a long time Fisher user but
this is my last one.

they redesigned the case so the gasket is no longer needed. All the new F75's will come this way now. your's obviously had the case replaced as well. NOW yours is the latest and greatest!

As far as replacing the case, the back portion is the old case, the face plate may be new i can't
tell for sure. If this is what you mean let me know, I was a little upset when i posted the last time
I've calmed down now, as far as using Fisher's i would'nt use anything else.

it wasnt to make it waterproof.....but rather dirt and water restistant. its important to note that. Since doing the origonal upgrade with the enviromental sealing..they redesigned the case to eliminate the seal altogether. not exactly sure when the change was implemented.............but it wasnt too awful long ago. Streak!
