Returned Dog Tag

I found a dog tag on the beach August 19 and it had a phone number on it so I called the number and got the address so I could send it back to the people. Well today I got a package in the mail and the guy sent me a note thanking me for taking the time to return hi dogs tag and sent me a Tidewater coupon book for a token of appreciation. Always nice to find nice folks.

Do you mean a US military dog tag or a doggie tag ?

I found a really nice US military dog tag from 1942 not long back on a Florida Beach , it had the guys information on it and next of kin , I found someone with the same name in the same city &gave them a call to see if it was relative , some guy told me to shove it and dont call back ,his freind wasnt in .So much for trying to do the right thing by giving someone a great keepsake .
