Returned A Lost Ring Today!

I joined theringfinders.com a week ago so that I could give back to this hobby. Today I received my first call and was asked to come out to a cabin an hour away from my place where a wife had dropped her husbands $5,000 platinum wedding ring off their dock. I drove out there and managed to recover the ring within 20 minutes. It was as good a day for me as it was for them. For those of you that haven't recovered someones lost item, give it a try. It feels good to make someone elses day and it allows you to go out and practice. Id on't charge for recovery of items, I just ask to have my fuel costs covered. Either way, it felt great to be able to help out this couple and be able to give back to the hobby. Thanks for reading and happy hunting everyone. -Marc PS I forgot to mention, I still absolutely love my Excal II 1000. It has never let me down and I have never come home empty-handed. This is my second one and I can't imagine ever not having one in my arsenal.

I have done several myself of class rings and one very nice diamond a lady lost that was given her on her 25th aniversery. Also remember that one and the look on her face was priceless plus the feeling I had is one I will never forget.
I hope more have the chance to do this for others as it is good for the hobby, glad to hear you were able to find it and get that great feeling, hope your next find will be awesome for doing a good deed.

Thank you very much for your kind reply Rick. Cool that you are recovering items for others as well. It really does feel great to return a lost item. If more of us did this, the hobby would have a much better reputation, that's for sure. Thank you for your wishes on my next find. I also wish you the best of luck in your hunting and I thank you again for your nice message. HH -Marc
