Returned a 1986 ladies class ring yesterday

Had to tell everyone about this, I have been hunting a small area close to home for the last few weeks when I found a ladies high school ring from 1986 the school name was St. Joseph, the mascot was that of a cat, the thing that I had a problem with was what kind of cat!!! I spent hours researching the Internet looking for Panthers,Cougars,Lions nothing came up so not having the best of vision I got out the big glasses and was able to read the last 3 letters of the class mascot under the cat which were ATS after a bit of more Internet research BINGO only 1 school that I found in the USA was a small town in N.J. and there mascot was the "Wildcats" From there I went to Classmate.com and tracked down this lady from her initials and I had seen she had moved about 35 miles from me Washington State from there I went to Dex.com and entered her name in phone book and everything matched but no phone # so I wrote her a short letter. The day Alice (owner) received letter she called me with extreme excitement. This ring has been lost for over 10 years she told me that she always had wore her class ring and cried the day she lost it and thought never to see it again Alice works less then 3 miles from me so I decided to deliver it to her yesterday a very happy lady. I have owned this X-T 705 Little over 3 months now and have found many things but this hole where I found the ring has been unreal with over 550 U.S. coins, gold jewelry and a couple junk rings and a bunch of other items, I will be posting all of these finds soon, now this is MY HONEY HOLE!!! Happy hunting too you all.

Congrats on finding the ring and being able to return it to the owner.

Last year I found 2 class rings and was able to return both of them to the owners. For me, being able to do that is one of the biggest thrills of this hobby.

always great to be able to find the owner of a ring. Returned a 1981 class ring that I found last yr. thanks to a lot of folks on the forum .The guy was shocked to get the ring back. H.H. Gary

Great job!

Glad you was able to find the owner. There is nothing like returning a lost ring .
