Return to the Reservoir and the Catch

Beautiful day. Mid-70's. Beautiful drive up into the mountains to the reservoir. Just me and one lonely fisherman there with his dog. Any luck? I asked. No, what about you? Just a quarter so far after 2 hours but I found all those sinkers you lost. He kinda grinned and said yeah but it's great to be out. I had to agree and we wished each other luck as he ambled on by with his dalmatian at his heels.

I'd been here before with my ACE 250 when the water level was quite a bit higher but today it was way down giving me access to some old ruins. An old single lane cement bridge and the partial remains of an asphalt road and the foundations of an old farmhouse nearby. It was put underwater 60-some years ago when they built the dam and for about 1 month or so every year the levels go down far enough to see the old remains. Spent 3 hours using the Scorp but if there was ever anything "old" down there, somebody beat me to it. Or else it's so far under the silt, I couldn't pick it up. I've had another reservoir on my list a few miles away which covers the remains of an old mining town but not so sure about it now. My tacklebox is gettin pretty full.

This is a cross-sampling of the catch. The quarter saved me from getting skunked. But like the man said, "It's great to be out".

I think my tackle box will be supplied full with my finds also , Ive been detecting for 3 months and my fishing tackle is slowly increasing . Good luck on your next reservoir, and a quarter is no skunk . Every time I have hunted even with my little time in detecting , I always find a coin .

Since I took up the MD thing, who has time to fish. I would have dropped the sinkers on the fisherman!!!!!

WTG Murf if you fish like I do

youll need those sinkers etc
Maybe a few spinning lures would help too!!
