RETURN TO PENNY PARK :pulltab: CITY

Due to the incessant rain I hunted "Penny Park" today so I could stay close to the truck.

Bagged 97 pennies, 6 quarters, 6 nickels, and 20 dimes, for a total of 129 coins and two rings, ones a .925 sterling "LOVE" ring.

Cash total was $4.77 averaging out at 3.69 cents per coin

That's a drop in bucket from what I have hauled out of that park since mid January. I usually hunt it once a week. I had a 13 plus dollar day out of it early on with 188 pennies.... I have never found a wheat penny there yet BUT I have found 4 silver dimes, two Rosevelts and two Merc's, part of the Twilight Zone I guess

To answer your question the hunt was about 5 hours.......I was hunting between storms.....only went up for an hour or two's hunt, but the rains mostly held off so I took advantage of Mother Nature and stayed. Make hay while the sun shined so to speak, although it did "shower" a time or two on me and "Blackie", enough that I was starting to question the headphones welfare.

Yes I was using the same coil that came with the dectector 81/2 x 11 DD I think it is, I do have the 4 in. sniper coil when it gets REAL trashy....
