Retaining QDP Settings

loot_ n_al

New member
I'm new to the forum, so please show mercy!

I have a new QDP and wanted to know if there is a way to retain the settings I have made while detecting. It's not a huge deal, but would be nice. I have to make sure I don't place my headphones on until AFTER turning down the volume. The default settings will nuke your ears.

I know several of you also own a QDP and want to draw on your experience.

Thanks.

The QDP does not have enough array of settings to justify a memory. So it returns to default settings each time you power it down.

You could buy an inline volume adjuster.
Something like this perhaps.

Shure EAADPT-KIT Adapter Kit (Combines 1/4" Adapter, Airline Adapter, Attachable Volume Control) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001P5HL3S/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_YuM2ub00SKRTG

It has volume control, and I can adjust it fairly easily. It simply returns to the default settings, including a high volume, each time the unit is turned on. I just wish it would save the settings I choose, most often.
